Manginis Well Known and Loved Meatballs
Marinara Sauce
64 (or so) oz of Tomato Sauce
1 cup chopped sweet onions
4 - 8 cloves garlic
1 cup fresh chopped basil (not packed)
1 Tbs Italian Seasoning
2 Tbs dried parsley
2 bay leaves
2 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp dried pepper flakes
Olive Oil
Saute onion in olive oil until translucent. Add garlic and saute for another minute. Add tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer over low heat for about an hour. Taste at this pint and adjust to your personal preferences, more Basil? More garlic? More oregano? Salt if necessary.
Costco, yes really, Costco Meatball (I guess I should say Kirkland).
Add 2 - 3 cups of the meatballs, depending on how saucy you like them. Simmer these over low, checking and stirring regularly for at least 3 hours. You can add more meatball if you like.
Refrigerate overnight and then reheat before serving. You wont believe that you are eating Costco Meatballs Any you wont believe the shock weve had when sharing this recipe.
Serve them anyway you like, over pasta, on bread, straight, as an appetizer. Always sprinkle with a good Parmesan or asiago cheese.
